|Brief||The client asked ARROW to develop a high-end contemporary Hotel & Conference Centre in one of the most prominent areas of Tblisi, the hotel set to become a destination in itself.|
Adapting to the classic character of Freedom Square
Blending with the context in an elegant and discreet way, the idea was for the design surrounding Freedom Square, to be a lesson in classical expression. By coupling efficient space usage with functionality and adapting the character of the site in a modern and respectful language, the hotel will pay homage to its surroundings.
The hotel; a fine-tuned machine
With the main entrance currently featuring an elegant, covered space, it also faces what could be transformed into an extension of Puskin Park.
Meanwhile, the hotel’s restaurant and bar offer the added benefit of being close to the sunny side of the square next to the park, bound to be a popular place of retreat for visitors.
Furthermore, there will be a conference enclosure with the capacity to seat 900 people, which can be both accessed from the hotel and outside, thus providing the ideal location for large events to be held without interfering with any operations of the hotel.
As for the capacity itself, the hotel has the ability to cater for 280 rooms, all of which – including premium options and adjacent balconies – are located on the upper floors.
5* experience and views
With the addition of a cable car to the rear of the site, as not to cut through Freedom Square, the cable car can be accessed from both within the hotel or from a dedicated external public lift.
Naturally, the journey towards the hotel’s exclusive rooftop bar will offer spectacular views of the city, becoming a memorable experience for all parties involved.
