Over time we have developed and refined a work methodology, that we call: International experience with local knowledge. Very often we get a lot of questions from our clients in the initial steps when choosing us for their new project. Therefore we tried to explain our way of working, and thinking, and how it is to collaborate with us.

The initial step

At the outset of a project, clients often express concern about our ability to work in their country. Our approach to this issue varies depending on our level of experience in the particular country.

In cases where we have no prior experience and the client does not have a preferred local architect or team, we conduct interviews with various teams together with the client, to identify and select the most suitable option. Alternatively, if we have prior experience in the country, we have an established network and a local architect who we can propose as an option. In either case, we prioritize the client's preferences and take into consideration the historical context of the country.

For countries where we have extensive experience, we can serve as the primary contractor and subcontract all local consultants. This allows us to provide a streamlined and cohesive approach to the project, while also ensuring that local expertise and knowledge is integrated into the design.

Overall, we are committed to providing our clients with the best possible service and are adaptable in our approach to ensure that we can work effectively in any country.

Meetings

The Covid-19 pandemic has led to a significant increase in the use of online meetings, which has proven to be an effective means of communication. This has reduced the need for frequent face-to-face meetings.

Nowadays, it is customary to hold weekly or more frequent online meetings. Depending on the project stage, on-site presence can be managed with bi-weekly or monthly in-person meetings. For larger projects, a more permanent on-site presence may be necessary.

Overall, we have found that a combination of online and in-person meetings is essential for effective collaboration. The frequency and mode of communication should be tailored to suit the specific needs of each project. The aim is to strike the right balance between virtual and in-person communication to ensure that the project progresses smoothly and successfully.

Worksplit

After the initial project is decided, there is a transition to the detailed design stages and the start of the on-site construction between us and the local architects. We are in control of the process from the initial concept to the first planning submission, with a gradual transition to the local architect.

The more experience we have with the typology and the country the later the transition will be. Every project and client has specific needs and we always find a way that fits the project best. 

Yes

In our meetings, it is common to hear the phrase "Yes, let's test and study it, and then let's make a well-thought decision". This reflects our commitment to carefully evaluate all ideas and opportunities before making a decision.

We take pride in our ability to communicate our ideas and concepts clearly and effectively.
