The overall vision of the Ebbepark masterplan was to create an inclusive and warm part of the city - a place where you would love to go and stay even if you do not work or live there.
Within Repfabriken, you will find a large flexible sports/event hall, a fitness area, and a café, while the top floor will accommodate offices and workshops. With its characteristic roof, the building is a gathering space at the heart of the masterplan.
At ARROW, we prioritize environmentally conscious design, as demonstrated in the Repfabriken project. The aim of the Ebbepark masterplan is to use 20% less energy than current Swedish regulations.
To reach this goal, we utilize cutting-edge civil engineering solutions. The building is equipped with ground source heat pumps and a storage facility that provides heating and cooling for the entire building, allowing for energy sharing with other buildings in the masterplan. Additionally, the showers in the sports facilities' changing rooms save up to 90% of water consumption, and the roof features solar panels.
The building's distinct design pays homage to its past and the industrial character of the area.
The gable with its unique pattern is inspired by the work of artist Marianne Richter, who operated in the factory in the 1950s. She created a massive tapestry for the United Nations in New York, which was considered the largest of its kind at the time.
